What to Expect at Our Initial Meeting

Clients often do not know what to expect when they go in to consult with a lawyer. When you come talk to me at our initial meeting, you can expect that:

• I will determine your situation. For example, if you are seeking a divorce, I will ask if there are children involved. The more I know about you and your case, the better I can represent you interests.
• If children are involved, we will discuss custody. What is likely to happen to your children in your child custody case? After learning more about you and your legal issue, I can help you better determine the answer to that question.
• I will ask about your marital estate. If your matter is a divorce, we will discuss the property you hold together with your spouse and how it will likely be divided.
• I will answer your questions. Family law matters can be complicated. As your attorney, I am here to share my legal insight grounded in years of family law practice.

In most family law matters, I try to get things resolved outside of the courtroom, but with 20 years of trial experience, I am not afraid of litigation
